SIGNS@HWU was established as a cluster of the Centre for Translation and Interpreting Studies in Scotland, to profile the world-leading interdisciplinary research being conducted at Heriot-Watt University.

Improving the communication between deaf and hard-of-hearing persons and the EU institutions (INSIGN) (2014-2015)

The project focused on testing the feasibility of deaf people being able to make contact with Members of European Parliament and other European institutions through video remote or video relay interpreting services.
