SIGNS@HWU was established as a cluster of the Centre for Translation and Interpreting Studies in Scotland, to profile the world-leading interdisciplinary research being conducted at Heriot-Watt University.

Justisigns 2: Empowering Victims of Gender-Based Violence (2020-2022)

This project focuses on best practices for sign language interpreters and professionals (e.g., police, healthcare workers, counsellors, refuge workers) to work together in supporting communication needs of deaf women who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse or gender-based violence.
